We are excited to introduce our new After School Care programme, or 'Tagesbetreuung', specially designed for children attending local Swiss schools. Running from 12:00 to 15:30, this programme offers a perfect balance of care, creativity, and learning for your child.

About Our Programme

We are excited to introduce our new After School Care programme, or Tagesbetreuung, specially designed for children attending Swiss schools. Running from 12:00 to 15:30 at Gartenstrasse 93, 4052 Basel, this programme offers a perfect balance of care, creativity, and learning for your child.
We understand that families have busy and varied schedules, so we offer a flexible service with no minimum commitment required. Whether you need occasional support or regular care, you can choose the days that best suit your needs.

Our programme includes a nutritious lunch followed by engaging activities tailored to different interests and age groups. Children can explore their creativity with arts and crafts, spark curiosity with STEM projects, improve communication through language activities, or enjoy nature in our playground or neighbouring parks. With our focus on holistic development, we aim to provide an environment where children feel inspired, nurtured, and safe.
The main spoken language is English, but we also have German-speaking staff available to ensure all children feel comfortable and supported. Whether your child speaks English, German, or both, they’ll thrive in this inclusive and welcoming environment.

Extend the learning with an Enrichment Programme

For families needing additional care, we also offer the option to extend the day at our After School and Enrichment programmes located at our other nearby campus, Wildensteinerhof, St Alban Vorstadt 32. This allows children to further explore their passions in areas like sports, drama, or science in a structured, fun setting.

If you enrol your child in this part of the programme, our staff will walk them across from Gartenstrasse to Wildensteinerhof. Sign up now to give your child the opportunity to learn, grow, and make new friends in this exciting programme!

Terms & Conditions

• The children must arrive at Gartenstrasse 93, 4052 between 12.00-12.15 for ages 4-12.
• Lunch will be served from 12.30-13.00 at Gartenstrasse 93
• Children should bring a water bottle (containing only water) but no food please.
• Pick up is at 15.30 from Gartenstrasse 93.
• If you have opted for Additional After School Care, children will be walked to Wildensteinerhof, Sankt-Alban Vorstadt 32, 4052 Basel for continued provision.
• Pick up 16:30 or after must be from Wildensteinerhof, Sankt-Alban Vorstadt 32, 4052.
• There are no refunds for missed sessions or reductions for sessions not attended.
• ELA After School Care will only proceed once a minimum number of participants is confirmed. You will receive an invoice for the ELA After School Care once the minimum number of participants is confirmed. Please note that the place is not confirmed until the invoice is paid.
• ELA Basel reserves the right to adapt the programme if circumstances dictate this is necessary.
• Payments of invoice confirm you are in agreement with these terms and conditions.
